README file for CWRX program
Written by OH3FG/KO4BC ko4bc@iname.com

This program was originally written for demonstrating io-capabilities
of normal old-fashioned printerport of the PC.

It reads hand-keyed CW (Morse code) when the key is connected into
printer port of the PC like this:

      PC DB25 male
        -----+
             .
             .
           9 < <--+
             . 1k
             . resistor
          12 < <--+--------------------
             . 100nF the
             . capacitor key
          25 < <--+--------------------
        -----+

Those resistor and capacitor values given here are only hints, actual
values depends on characteristics of your printer port. If you get
much garbage (characters not keyed), increase those values. If you lose
characters at higher speeds, decrease them. The program can adapt to
your speed pretty fast if you start with a few characters with both
dots and dashes in them.

To compile the program:

make
su
make install

Enjoy!
